TERIYAKI CHICKEN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tbsp. Honey soup
- 1 1/2 tsp. Brown sugar soup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon of sesame oil (optional)
- 2 tbsp. Fresh ginger peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp. Fresh garlic peeled and chopped (2 cloves)
- 2 tbsp. Tea cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and to serve (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat the olive oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken and brown on the bottom for about 4 minutes, then return and continue cooking until center indicates about 160 degrees, about 4 minutes. longer.
- While cooking the chicken, mix in a small bowl (or liquid measuring cup) the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cornstarch.
